Ducktown Madonnari Chalk Art Festival 2026 Organization/Storefront Registration
*EACH PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATION/STORE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SELECTING THEIR CHALK ARTIST/ARTIST*

Participants receive:

A set of 24 color pastels

A designated 4’ x 6’ space in front of their store

Deadline to register: (Extended Deadline) April 8, 2026
When: Saturday, May 23, 9:00am – 3:30pm (This is a rain or shine event)
Artist Setup: Saturday, May 23, 7:30am – 9:00am
Closing Celebration & People’s Choice Award (Organization/Storefront designs will be mentioned): 3:00pm
*Organizations/Storefronts are not eligible for the People's Choice Award but participants will be in the running for the Community's Choice Award: 1st Annual Painted Duck Award*
Please note: All art spaces are made of cement.

ARTIST GUIDELINES

Artwork for the festival is for public viewing. No inappropriate words, or symbols within the chalk drawing.

Selected artists must be at least 18 years old.

EVENT GUIDELINES

Each selected artist’s space size is 4' x 6'.

The Ducktown Madonnari Chalk Art Festival provides (1) set of 24 soft pastels for each selected artist. (Artists are responsible for supplying any additional chalk and colors needed for design, for example: any predominant colors, etc.)

Only non-oil-based soft chalk/pastels in a solid form may be used for creating your design.

No acrylic paints, spray can pastels, oil-based pastels, or hard pastels, liquid chalk, or tempera paint (even for bases) will be permitted. All art will be created on bare pavement, using dry chalk and pastels.

Artists may begin to work on their chalk designs by 7:30am and need to finish by 3:00pm on the day of the festival.

All artists are invited to attend the Closing Celebration and People’s Choice award.
No registration is necessary for Youth and Community Art Zone participants.
