DUCKTOWN MADONNARI CHALK ART FESTIVAL IS A FREE EVENT WITH TALENTED LOCAL & REGIONAL ARTISTS, YOUTH AND COMMUNITY ZONES, LIVE MUSIC, AND FOOD
We are excited to invite everyone to the first official Ducktown Madonnari Chalk Art Festival on Saturday May 23rd at Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City. The festival is hosted by Ducktown Community Development Corporation and partnered with North To Shore and Tanger Atlantic City.
This event is inspired by the original Madonnari festivals of Italy, and the many world-renowned festivals throughout the United States. The Ducktown Madonnari aims to be a vibrant, outdoor gallery of city sidewalks and plazas that will be transformed into vivid chalk masterpieces by talented local and regional street artists, right before our eyes.
Beyond art, the festival will offer music, food, interactive community engagement activities, and a Youth and Community Art Zone (sponsored by the Atlantic City Arts Foundation).
ARTIST REGISTRATION

This is a curated event with limited acceptance of only 24 selected artists!
Have a chance to win a $500 People's Choice Award!
Registration is FREE and selected artists will receive a set of 24 color pastels, an event “artist” t-shirt, continental breakfast and lunch, and a $250 stipend for their work!
Artists will be notified by April 15, 2026, if selected.
ORGANIZATIONS / TANGER STOREFRONT REGISTRATION
Each participating organization / store is responsible for selecting their chalk artist/artists!
Organizations / Storefronts are not eligible for the People's Choice Award but participants will be in the running for the Community's Choice Award: 1st Annual Painted Duck Award!
Registration is FREE and organization / store artists will receive a set of 24 color pastels, designated 4’ x 6’ space in front of their store, and highlight on the event’s art map
LOCATION
Our event takes place at Tanger Outlets Atlantic City in the two plazas!
Parking
There is paid parking available at the Wave Garage on 2200 Fairmount Ave.
Validated parking will only be available to selected artists and volunteers.
VOLUNTEER AT DUCKTOWN MADONNARI CHALK ART FESTIVAL!
We have numerous volunteer opportunities that include event set-up and take down, artist hospitality, artist registration, event navigation/guest support, and water duty! Volunteers get a free t-shirt and validated parking at the Wave Garage.
